Camping and Caravaning

Torrent Walk Campsite

Dolgellau LL40 2AB, UK – 01341 422269

Great for families and couples. Lots of places to walk and little friendly town called Dolgellau nearby.

Nice campsite & good location for trips around Snowdonia. There are a variety of pitches in the main field with or without electric hook up & pitches up on the hill (pitches are levelled off). There is an overflow field as well. I believe but gets very busy at bank holiday weekends & showering could be an issue as there are only 3 shower per men's/womens block. You get a nice view of Cader Idris & there is a nice walk up the lane to the river. Dolgellau is a couple of minutes drive & has most of what you need supply wise.

Dolgun Uchaf

Dolgun Uchaf Guesthouse, Torrent Walk Road, Dolgellau LL40 2AB, UK – 01341 422269

Very good modern apartment. Clean and warm. We bought a bag of logs and lit a fire on the campsite. Beautiful views in the morning over hills with sheeps. Children enjoyed meeting a horse in the stable

The surroundings are beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful location. Breakfast is OK. Staff were friendly. Would stay again.

Tan-Y-Fron Holiday Park

Arran Rd, Dolgellau LL40 2AA, UK – 01341 422638

Visited March 2018. We had one of the Pods. The site was very well run and we had no issues at all. It's a very short walk into town and only a 10 minute drive to The Mach Loop. Already booked again for August.

This site is in a super location for several stunning walks; along the water to Barmouth, up to Cadair Idris and just a 5 minute walk into the pretty town of Dolgellau. Tan-Y-Fron is a clean, tidy park with a friendly keeper, nice hot showers and beautiful countryside views from the campsite. Not particularly busy for the time of year, so go and visit!

Dog People is such a great website if you have dogs who go on holiday with you. Just enter your location and everything from dog friendly Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels to dog friendly walks and beaches come up. The Dog People site covers Bed & Breakfast, Holiday Parks, Hotels, Self Catering, Pubs & Food, Days Out. Enjoy!
'Walks with Buggies' is a must for walking parents with young children, babies or even grannies and grandpas! If you would like to walk around Aran Hall School or Gwynedd just select your nearest town, length of walk and type of walk. You will not only be able to download detailed OS maps free of charge but you can read reviews of walks and their ratings - and add your own afterwards! Enjoy
